May 27th at The Babcock Theatre

One of the greatest modern rock musicals, writer-director-actor John Cameron Mitchell's Hedwig and the Angry Inch is the emotional story of a German emigrant living in a trailer in Kansas looking for love and fame after a botched sex-change operation. A book by Mitchell, turned into an off-Broadway smash, turned film, and then moved to Broadway (starring Neil Patrick Harris), it's an impressive passion-project that proved even indie musicals can make a lasting impact. If you haven't seen it, you owe it to yourself to check out this 20th anniversary screening of this beautiful musical indie drama and landmark of queer cinema on the big screen!
