Theater Rental FAQs

Some of our most asked questions to help you plan your event!

• How much is it?

Though we wish we could give a flat rate, there are just too many variables and too many options to choose from! With three theaters and a pub space, we need to gain basic details such as group size, night of the week, and time of the day to give you a base price. Theater rentals, before add-ons, range from $225- $600 for a 4 hours block depending on those variables. Extra time can be added. The pub is only available for rent during the day. We offer a non-profit discount of 20%. We occasionally choose to partner with other non-profit organizations on events, lowering the cost of the rental.

We ask that you please fill out the form, even if you don’t know your exact date/time, and then we can give you a quote. We need the info in the form to build your quote. Your form is a jumping off point – nothing too serious!

• When can I rent a space?

Most days are available between 8am and 10pm, however, we do try to balance our films and events programming and must meet film distributor requirements, so Friday and Saturday evenings are not always available for private events.

• What’s included in the rental cost?

Private Events: The base rental fee comes with use of our projector/tech, a film rental up to $5 (see below), and one table/linen. We offer many add-on items to make your event go smoothly, such as extra tables, water carafes, wine chillers, drink totes, disposables for food, coffee service, an in-house popcorn machine, and more!

Public Events: In addition to the above inclusions, we enter your event into our Newsletter and create a ticketing page for your event at no additional cost. Renter must provide images, narrative, and required event information.

• What film can we watch?

Private Events: Art House uses AppleTV to stream films. If your film is available there, we will use that platform. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring a DVD copy, or play it through a laptop via HDMI (for other streaming services).  We will cover up to $5 of the film rental when using AppleTV. Anything after that will be the responsibility of the renter.

Public Events: Film rights must be obtained for any film played for the general public. If it is a local, low budget, or documentary type film, we ask that the renter obtain permissions from the Director or Distributor and provide documentation if applicable. If your chosen film is a large theatrical production, we will obtain a quote from the Distributor and obtain rights. Any film fees will be the responsibility of the renter. Film fees can run from $150-$500 depending on your chosen guest ticket price, if you choose to charge guests.

• Can we bring food for our event?

Yes, you can bring food/treats. Please be aware of our carpeted areas. We ask that we provide popcorn and candy, unless the chosen candy is in loose form or in goody bags.

• Can we bring drinks for our event?

We ask that you only bring drinks that we cannot provide such as hot cocoa and juice. We provide a wide variety of beverages and would love to provide those for you. Outside alcohol goes against our beer/wine license, so it’s especially important to not bring this.

• Does Art House provide catering services?

The Pub at Art House, our restaurant partners, do offer catering services. You can simply order from their Pub Menu, found HERE, or request catering services. They offer an appetizer spread, nacho bar, custom catering, and more! The Pub Chef requests as much notice as possible for caters, but no less than 14 days in advance.

• How do I secure a date?

A 30% deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit will be returned up until 14 days prior to your event should you cancel. You can reschedule your event using the same deposit anytime.

• How far in advance should I book my event?

As soon as you can! We book up fast and we can’t book within 14 days of your desired date. The more time you have to plan, the better!

• Do you have tables and linens?

Yes, we have a variety of tables including 4ft rectangles, 6ft rectangles, and cocktail tables. We have black linens. Each table ordered comes with a linen unless otherwise declined.

• Does Art House provide an Event Host or Tech Person?

Normally, a senior staff member (Shift Leader+) will be assigned to your event, making sure you get set up, have what you need, start your film, and close out your night. Our staff works hard to take care of all our renters together. An event host would be someone who would restock the mobile bar, if used, keep water carafes filled, keep track of catering needs, tidy up, and attend to your extra needs. If you feel like you need someone like this to be available at all times, we can arrange for that. Add-on fees will apply.
